LightHouse...New Release Sunday DS4J

Hello Everyone,
Sharing with you today one of several New Digital Images that are in the DigiStamps4Joy Shop. This one is 'LightHouse' created by Margy.
I invite you to visit the DigiStamps4Joy Blog and check out all the other beautiful creations the Design Team.

As I designed this card I wanted to give it a distressed vintage look as I worked hard in keeping it clean and simple.  I did have fun giving the lighthouse itself a 3D look. I put yellow glitter Stickles on the light of the lighthouse which looks better in person and not so clear on the picture.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Frilly and Funkie - Vintage Seaside
Word Art Wednesday#133 - Anything Goes
Keep it Simple #40 - Maritime

You're the Bestest...

Penny Black Stamp called 'You're the Bestest'
Hello Everyone,

Sharing one of many Penny Black stamps I have in my collection.  I love this adorable, happy and fluffy cat...the stamp is called 'You're the Bestest' one of my critter favorite stamps of Penny Black.  I colored it with Spectrum Noir pens. I had so much fun coloring it as it brought sweet memories and happy tears of my once loved Thomas.

I always enjoy embellishing my cards...with touches of dimension by using dry embossing folders this one is an Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug folder called Jolie Lace. My lace and burlap ribbon are from my stash I know I picked up at Hobby Lobby when they have their 50% off spools...they always have such pretty choices. My heart and round wooden buttons were a gift. The white pearl/silver medallion are by Recollections. The cute little love bugs are from my stash of sticker goodies. And those miniature flowers are from The Rubber Buggy an online site I found with a great choice of  pretty flowers and sizes along with great shipment processing.

Rejoicing Through...

He was there all along...
Digital Image- Misteri-My Guitar, Created by JenLee - DigiStamps4Joy

Sharing with you this special card I made with one of my favorite of many Misteri images called 'My Guitar' created by JenLee at DigiStamps4Joy. I slowly put it together as I working my way to healthy restoration. I had a really tough battle with a combination of Crohns attacks and a severe upper resperitory infection which made it hard to keep my energies up for long periods. I am so grateful that during those rough and tough times I can lean on God and see that he longs to encourage and bring sunshine into my days.  And one of his blessings is during those times my creativity is  tickled.   In this life journey I am having fun using an array of sorts of pretty shades of yellow on my designs. My heart is happy God is the bright light that overwhelms the darkness that tries to come in and take over my life sometimes so this card is for myself and I plan to frame because it has a special place in my heart as God was my strength when I was at my weakest.
I am rejoicing. I am finally doing a lot better.

I had fun making my handmade flowers with old blue jeans and inter-mingling with Martha Stewart Aster flower punch, Recollections flower punches, Spellbinders Shapebilities Rose Creations Shape and pre-made flowers.  I used Anna Griffins dies I bought last year sometime through HSN.com.  She has really been delivering us crafters some marvelous new dies and embossing folders amongst other goodies.

I used Spectrum Noir to color my fun and precious image, Misteri 'My Guitar' as I put lots of pretty layers of dies to showcase her.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #36 - Any Digi Goes

Crafts 4 Eternity #176 - To Die For

+++++++++++

I would also like to take this time to give you a personal invitation to join DigiStamps4Joy - Challenge #92 - Anything Goes. The Challenge goes on through Tuesday, May 27th.  Visit the blog and check a couple ways you can win prizes....like you don't have to use a DS4J image but if you do you can win $10.00 in DS4J Store digitial images.

Until next time...this Shabby Chic Grannie is out...Be Safe...Hugs ---God is there through the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the good times and bad...Let Him carry you...I came to find He was and is there all along.

Fun with Pastel Colours

Hello Everyone...

Sharing this sweet card I had fun decorating with a palette of pastel colors and giving it a frilly girly touch is even better. I have always loved pastels and decided to play with my pgn.file Design Paper by The Paper Shelter that comes with their image The Music Practice. That is what is so fun about their Digital image packages..with some you get the background design paper with their digi's another that is even pre-colored. The image I am using with this card is called 'Spring Enchantment' and it came with it's own Design Paper but I was inspired by the other Design Paper which made me what to create my own color palette for my image not the one that went with this image. What a blessing to have creative choices.

Extra Decorated Embellishments: Embossing Folder, Diecuts & Punch

Decorating Details:
I colored my precious image/Spring Enchantment with Spectrum Noir with touches of Faber-Castell and a white gel pen. As I was working towards adding my embellishments to my card I could not find my Memory Box/Blooming Vine die...so I had to get creative and use my Cottage Cutz/Garden Birdhouse die and fuzzy cut the leaves out which turned out much better in reference to proportion size for fitting my little scene. I am so glad I bought my dainty little Memory Box/Rounded Fence die...it has come in so handy when I want to create a cute little flowered fence scene.  The beautiful intricately detailed window is a diecut by Spellbinders/Window Two. I love that you can leave the windows slightly open if you want. And the beautiful designed Butterfly Flourish is by Joanna Sheen. I did a double layer one of parchment paper to give it a delicate, dainty look. My tag dies are 1) from Spellbinders/Back to Basics Tags and 2)from Cuttlebug.  I used Martha Stewart/Vintage handpunch for the edge and Anna Griffin/Cuttlebug-Circular Grid Embossing Folder. My cutsie flowers are from The Rubber Buggy and flower cabachons are from the Peachy Chic Boutique.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter #158 - Girly Girly
PaperTake Weekly - Pretty Pastels
Scrapbook Stamp Society #41 - Anything Goes +Option Spring
Top Tip Tuesday - Here Comes Summer(my take: Open the window, put on the flip flops)

Hello Everyone,

It is time to start a fresh new Challenge #92 over at DigiStamps4Joy Blog with the fun and easy Theme Anything Goes. The challenge begins Wednesday, May 14 through Tuesday, May 27th. We look forward to visiting your blogs with all your creative projects but... Here is my inspiration card I had fun creating for DS4J Challenge #92 - 'Anything Goes'.  I decided I wanted to merge two DS4J images both created by JenLee.  They are Emma and Hope. I also wanted to share with how I learned to merge two or more Digital images. They have to be png.files.  Check Here for the Youtube video that helped me take this new fun adventure to merging digital images. FYI...this teaches you how-to with Microsoft Word.
In making my card I used a couple of my Anna Griffin tools-Embossing Folder and Die plate. I colored my preciously merged image with Spectrum Noir and Faber-Castell pencils. My butterfly embellishments are from a stash of borders that I fuzzy cut. The heart buttons were a precious gift from a new cyber friend Darcy I met at Through the Purple Haze.

Sending Sisterly Love...

Digital Image011  -SherriBaldy Designs

Hello Everyone,

Sharing a special card I made for one of my Sister's who has been especially in my heart lately and wanting to let her know I love her and having her in my thoughts and prayers.  As I was going through my stash of preprinted digi's to color this one tugged at my heart.

Something Old used: Admit One ticket__Something New Used: Wooden circle covered buttons
Preparing for my card I pulled and used Design Paper by Recollections which provided the banner I fuzzy cut along with the swirl background set within the design paper.   I have found a new fun place to get my mini-flowers called The Rubber Buggy an online site. The pretty lime-green cabochons are from online Peachy Cheap Boutique

I added some Recollection heart embellishments with the pearl and word 'LOVE'. The 'admit one' ticket is from an old cutout from an embossing folder I had saved and clear powder embossed once I ink destressed. My pretty lime ribbon is from my stash of ribbon goodies.

Clean and Simple

Hello Everyone,

Sharing a clean and simple card I made using one of DigiStamps4Joy images called 'Flower Frame' created by Margy.
As I designed my card, I decided to try something different with decorating the edges. I have so many beautiful Martha Stewart deep edge punches but I decided to use my Spellbinder Nestabilities Decorative Labels Eight and cut it in half for the top and bottom. I am finding myself do this more and more with my pretty dies.

Happy Day of Memories

Digital Image/Dressing Up by JellyPark

 Hello Everyone...

Here on this Saturday afternoon sharing a sweet card I made using a precious image called 'Dressing Up' available in the JellyPark Store.  They have such fun, adorable and whimsical images that tickle my childhood memories.

As I sit here sharing this card it brought sweet happy memories growing up and wanting to play dress up. Me and my middle Sister would have so much fun as we played in our playroom that had a little kitchen set with stove and all. Of course it was just a backroom where storage was kept but we had fun playing anyway.  I left my card without a sentiment just using the  Graphic 45 paper to do my work of planting seeds of sweets memories.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

4 Crafty Chicks #193 - Flowers
