Time to Meet at the Scrappers Corner

Hello Fellow Crafters and Followers...

A big Welcome to my new followers and crafty friends.

Today Meet at the Scrappers Corner Challenge Blog is starting their new September #3 Monthly Card Challenge with the THEME: Pearls & Ribbon. You must showcase a My Besties by Sherri Baldy on your design.  It can be a digital image, stamp or 3D Deco image(like mine) and you can find them Here at her Etsy Shop.  Sherri Baldy/My Besties is the Sponsor of the Meet at the Scrappers Corner. I am so blessed to be a part of this very talented team of Ladies from all over the world.  I invite you to go by the Main Blog and check out all the creations by the Design Team and read the rules for entering which I have also placed below.

Conditions for entering this Challenge:

Now... It is time for me to share my designed card for this Challenge. I used the precious Millie Mae 3D Deco Sheet a My Besties image.  I decided to showcase her on an easel card with a shabby vintage look. I strategically placed my beautiful white pearls by Recollections.  And I strip of Black ribbon with sheer black ribbon polka dots on the edge on the bottom of my easel card. I added several fun embellishments: blue jean die cut Spellbinders heart and scallop heart behind it, dry clay shapes(corner, circle frame, butterflies) using Martha Stewart molds, miscellaneous paper embellishments by 3Birds,  Londonberry Design Paper, Spellbinder Nestabilities. Flowers from the 3D Millie Mae Sheet.  I scissor cut all the pieces even the flowers an gave them dimension with pop-dots.

I don't like sharing about my physically down days but when I do have them they are a challenge. And  the month of August was a very difficult month for me health wise where I had an abundance of attacks from the debilitating Crohns disease along with extra tenderness with nerve damage on body where my legs have are beat with muscle spasms. It has been very difficult to walk far, stand or sit long.  Through all that I still consider myself blessed and I know it could be worse.  I love that God tickles my creativity to outsource my energies onto paper and cards.  So these days where I am bound to lay or recline I love to work on my homemade flowers, color my images/stamps and now cut these wonderful precious My Besties 3D Deco images when able. See below how this particular sheet comes...and they are all pre-colored(so beautifully). All you have to do is scissor cut and layer with pop-dots.
There is so much fun to be had with these precious Sherri Baldy's  images and especially now that I have been introduced to these 3D Decoupage Sheets and technique.  They are fun and tickle my creativity.  And as of *TODAY, Sept. 7th.* Sherri Baldy/My Besties still has 50% off  at her Etsy Store...that includes rubber stamps, digi's, 3D Deco sheets, her beautiful Dolls and More.  Be sure to enter the CODE: YOURSPECIAL50.

Shabby Chic Fairy

Hello Fellow Crafters,

I am sharing today a shabby chic look I went with using this sweet image called Fairy a My Besties image by Sherri Baldy. I made a Hinged card to showcase My Besties Fairy.
Details used:
I colored her with a combination of Derwent and Faber-Castell pencils then used Martha Stewart glitter pens to cover certain sections. I had fun adding embellishments with some material hearts decorated with bling and pearls which I cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities the hearts and scalloped heart, 3 Birds shabby chic ticket. I distressed the ticket with a little brown. The card is a hinged card using Spellbinders Nestabilities-Decorative Labels Eight die  which I distressed the edges with Stampendous Shabby White embossing powder. I did cut with the scissors a second layer from the inside of the Decorative Labels eight die and also distressed with teh Shabby Chic white embossing powder by Stampendous. My sentiments are from Inkadinkado. My lovely little flowers are from The Rubber Buggy. I also added an additional decorated edge of Liquid Pearls.  Here is a Youtube tutorial if you want to try the fancy Spellbinders decorative die Hinged card yourself.

Criss-Cross Anniversay Card

Hello My Fellow Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing with you a Criss-cross pocket card showcasing a DigiStamp4Joy image called "Poppies".  I used a 3D paper piecing technique with the Poppies. As you can see they look so pretty in there red coloring. Love how they pop.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir.  I also wanted to share with you the tutorial I found on Youtube to make this criss-cross card. She is excellent with details and makes it so easy. I thank her. I hope you give it a try.

Here is how I setup the pull out card that goes inside the pocket criss-cross card. I used some of the Artist Effects on Word to make a shadow of the image "Poppies" and typed my own sentiments.

So Tweet

Hello Fellow Crafters,

Sharing today another fun play with a Flap Fold card showcasing 'So Tweet' designed by JenLee an Artist who makes her fun and whimsical images available in the DigiStamps4Joy Shop.  And in case you did not catch my first Flap Fold posting sharing the Tutorial HERE it is again...compliments of Scrapbook Blessing Club making it available.

I used double sided design paper. I made two heart stamped images which I embossed with white embossing powder then cut the shapes out to double layer and use as the holding tab for the flap which is decorated with a Martha Stewart edge handpunch.  Here is what it looks like half way open.

Here is what the Flap Fold card looks like completely open.  And this is how I decorated the inside.  It really is quite an fun style fold. I can see myself playing with different shape dies...like maybe a heart for Valentines Day or for a special someone.

And here Flap Fold card from the front....I love how the heart stamp looks perfect and so happy my 'hugs' stamp from Inkadinkado fit perfectly in it.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges.

Star of the Show "Pancy"

Hello Fellow Crafters,
Sharing my designed card today showcasing Pancy image available on a 3D Decoupage Sheet created by Sherri Baldy/My Besties available in her Etsy SHop. Once I finished putting her all together I had a color pallet in mind already.  I just didn't know which route in design I was going to go until I thumbed through my design papers and found my Pink Paislee packet of Declaration which showcased my Country USA colors, Red, White and Blue. The ribbon was an extra perk I bought at Hobby Lobby a while back falling in love with the neutral colors of red, beige and blue. It was perfect for my design I had in my heart to create.

I am really having a lot of fun with these 3D Decoupage Sheets. August and September have been slow physical days for me so on my down days I enjoy cutting these precious pieces so when I can I create fun paper projects showcasing them.  Then there are times when I am completely out of energy I love the idea of processing colors I am going to design their layout. They have been a special part of keeping my love for crafting ongoing with a happy heart. So today the Star of the Show is image "Pancy".

The big blue jean flower with burlap and the crystal type bling is some that I hand make when I am also physically down. As you see they are easy and fun.  You can see a picture Flower tutorial on my Blog post HERE.  I also precut hearts with my Spellbinders Shapebilities Scallop Heart and plain hearts.  They are always fun to use and embellish.

My Design Paper and ticket embellishments are from a Pink Paislee/Declaration packet I won a couple years ago which I also mixed with some K & Company.
I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges.
